One Very Busy Week

As my weekend slowly comes to a close, and I step back to view it,  I must to say that this last week has been a very busy one. I have sold 3 tutus' this week!!! That is very exciting for me. I also found a very amazing shop on ETSY that I think you should take a look at ... Jason from Masterspix here is his ETSY address:

His paintings are amazing; he is quick and very wonderful to work with. I had Jason do some work for me this weekend. I want to unveil my paintings at a later time, just know that I love them and can’t wait to share them with all of you.

Another fun thing that is going on, My Grandson Kais will be turning 1 in December. He was born 3 months early and spent a little under 2 months in the NICU. Kais weighed in at just over 3 lbs. He is such an amazing preemie, he came home earlier then anyone had expected.

While at the hospital my daughter, her husband and son received many gifts from donations that came from wonderful people like you.

So this year, to celebrate Kais’ first birthday, Lacey wants to give special gifts to other moms with babies in the NICU.  She is gathering blankets, toys, preemie outfits, quilts etc to donate. All new of course. If anyone wants to help out with the donations let me know. You can e-mail me at debra_gardner@yahoo.com.

I'm also working on a blog for Diji Snaps Photography. I will keep you updated.

Crayons+Cloths Removal Tip

I worked on the Elizabeth today and sent it to Tennessee, and I am working on another one for Texas! I have been so blessed: thank you!

Here is a great tip for moms with children who love to leave their crayons down.

Have you ever pulled the clothes out of the dryer to find that a crayon had gotten into the wash and through the dryer, and the clothes are now ruined? As a mother of 6 this has happened to me more than once. I have thrown away so many clothes and was so grateful when I was given this simple tip! Tonight I pass on this Wisdom of the Mothers to the rest of you.

1) Set your washer to a low water setting

2) Fill washer with hot water, but make sure it is safe for the clothes you are washing. (The hotter the water, the better)

3) Add 1 cup of baking soda and wash.

The crayon should come out of the clothes. It works for me!!!

If you have a better way, or different way, to get crayon out of dried clothes, please let us know by leaving your comment below. Happy washings!

Never Fail Pie Crust

Thanks Giving is coming soon… I wanted to share my favorite pie crust recipe, NEVER FAILS .. it will become your favorite too…

Pie Crust
1 egg
1 Tablespoon lemon juice

Mix in a bowl and add enough water to make 1 cup

 1 cup shorting
5 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt

Cut shorting into the flour until it is crumbly. Add salt. Add water/egg/lemon juice mixture and mix until all the flour is soft. Do not over mix.

Sprinkle flour onto counter top. Divide mix in to 2 balls. Place one of the balls onto the floured counter top and roll out. Makes 4 shells or 2 shell with tops.

Fill with favorite pie filling and bake.

A Gift From God Through Me

A little story about me...

5 years ago I was diagnosed with colon cancer and given only 3 months to live... for some reason God granted me the miracle of life and today I am cancer free... because of the surgeries and treatments, I didn’t think I would ever sew again... but here I am ... I'm so grateful that God has allowed me to share my talent with others... Your dress is a miracle … a gift from God through me...
